"Nioneshe Njia" translates from Kiswahili as "show me the way". In the near future I will post a video in the English language.
I don't fully understand how they are linked but this tape seems to connect to the "Zanzibar Elections". "Nioneshe Njia" was recorded just a couple of days before "Zanzibar Elections".
It appears that both tapes contain material that was later intended to be edited into a final documentation with narration. I don't know if this ever happened.
The first tape was digitalised an uploaded to Youtube. The source came from a simple vhs file. Can someone help find the original tape on these pages in the Betacam SP-L, Betacam SP-S or Sony Hi8 format?
This is an overview of Wolfgang Baraniecki's tapes currently residing with the Baraniecki family (click on the image for a closer view). The tapes exist in four general formats: Betacam SP-L, Betacam SP-S, Sony Hi8 and VHS.
Unfortunately, the rest of the tapes were hijacked in Tanzania shortly after Baraniecki's death.
!!! Please help by contributing comments if you understand Kiswahili or know any details about these documentaries right under the individual tapes !!!

Jambo, Karibu Tanzania! Hi, my name is Baraniecki Jr. and my family started this page in order to reconstruct 20 years of Tanzania documentary filmwork by my father (see foto) who died too young and unexpectedly. Please help us put the puzzle together with your knowledge about Tanzania, Kiswahili or filming on these tapes. Also, refer to the 'About this Project' and the 'About Wolfgang Baraniecki' links to gain further insight. Thank you, Baraniecki Jr.
